25th November 2016

We were back again this month at the Durham County Council Environment Awards. Last year we received two commendations. This year we were Highly Commended for two schemes:

St Mary Magdalene Church, Trimdon Village,

‘For the quality of workmanship using traditional techniques and materials and the contribution the work has made to the surrounding conservation area.

And St Michael and All Angels Church, Bishop Middleham,

‘For the sensitive alteration of the listed building and enhancement of the visitor experience’.

The clients: John Burton and Bill Armstrong, representing their respective PCC’s, and contractors: David Ferguson of D Ferguson Ltd and Tom Willoughby, represented by Andrew Blick, were with us on the evening.

Bill Heslop, secretary to the Diocesan Advisory Committee, representing the Diocese of Durham, also joined us to share the honours.
