Holy Trinity Darlington - January 2016

26th January 2016

Works have almost reached completion at HTD, with the Chancel decoration as the last thing to do.

The servery is now complete and so the church has a loo for the first time in its history. Along with a servery and storage, the new areas provide facilties that helps not just the day to day but the outreach and mission of the church.

Works have also included a brand new roof covering and repairs to roof members. All of which was helped by a generous grant from The Heritage Lottery Fund and the fundraising efforts of the members of the church.

Historic England provided technical advice for the project and the work saw the use of traditional materials and repair techniques. Even recycling redundant pew materials into the new work.

The works have been guided just before his retirement by The Venerable Nick Barker, Archdeacon of Auckland.
