What a year! December 2013

18th December 2013

We have had a remarkable year here at BBA.

Our work for medical clients has grown as has, not without irony, our hospitality industry work for brewers.

But our largest increase has been in conservation work, where we have added to our portfolio of church inspections and repair. We are working on a major extension for a Grade I medieval church close to an amazing heritage site. There are other church projects of internal reordering that have seen us working with: The Ancient Monument Society; The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB); Church Buildings Council and English Heritage.

We have also attended conferences by the Ecclesiastical Architects and Surveyors Association. We had a study day in the Spring at Wakefield Cathedral, were we saw the reordering work of cleaning, underfloor heating, seats and new LED lighting by the cathedral architect John Bailey. The image is of our recent return visit to see it at dusk.

We have also been invited to tender on significant historic projects in the region and we hope to find out how we have done in the New Year.

So here’s to 2014!
