Cultural Quarter for the City of Sunderland. January 2013

8th January 2013

We are delighted to have been commissioned by Sunderland Music Arts and Culture Trust (MACT) to develop proposals for the conversion of the Old Fire Station in Sunderland City Centre.

The vision of MACT is to create a Cultural Quarter for the City of Sunderland and the first phase is a music and arts venue within the old Fire Station, to compliment the adjacent Empire Theatre and a new piazza and external performance spaces.

This project affords an exciting opportunity for Beaumont Brown Architects and compliments our successfully delivered heritage projects at the nearby Sunderland Minster and ISIS public house.
