9th April 2012

Missed the March news Item? So did we! We have had such a busy time recently and there’s more to do in April...

The Sunderland Minster bells have arrived and we are busy getting them up into the tower for the Jubilee. We are pressing on with the Limestone Landscapes projects and will be getting them on the road soon.

The Almshouse Association have asked us to speak at their northern meeting in May about looking after heritage buildings and we will be busy preparing our talk for them this month.

We have completed a framework medical project for Durham PCT with Community Ventures and Kier Services. It was the first in the country using SCAPE- a new national business procurement framework developed by Local Authorities. It’s good for local architects and means that we are able to work not only in the North East but nationally.

Speaking of Local Authorities, we have also developed a partnership agreement with South Tyneside Building Control who will do all our pre-application vetting. So whether the job is in Castle Eden, North East, Yorkshire or further afield, it will give us a consistent approach to our Building Regulation applications countrywide.

There are also pubs to refurbish, feasibilities for medical centres, community centres developments and nursery schools to extend. It’s going to be a very busy month!
